We have made the difficult decision to close WINTER SCULPTURE PARK 2025 early following recent incidents of vandalism and arson. Given the scale and nature of these acts, we feel this is the right step to protect the wellbeing of the artists, the public and the land.
WINTER SCULPTURE PARK 2025 has been years in the making, for us, the artists, performers, collaborators and supporters. Each of the works represent many hours of physical and emotional labour, thought, care and commitment by the artists who made them. These works took root in tough terrain, made for people, by people, bringing joy to both. It’s been disheartening to see the hard work and positivity of so many undermined by the actions of a few. However, we’re deeply proud of what we’ve achieved together; welcoming over 3,000 visitors, with many more discovering the show by chance; reconnecting art and everyday life on a site that had been closed to the public for over a decade. This show is committed to the idea that ALL people can share in public art, not just as artists, but as viewers and participants. It’s been a delight to be on site each day, witnessing this in practice. We’re truly grateful to you all, for showing up from all across the UK, bringing friends, bringing family, making memories, sharing kind words and spreading word of the PARK far and wide. We would like to thank the artists; Elliot Macdonald, Maja Novak, Leah Hickey, Sophie Fishel, Poppy Whatmore, Stephanie Douet, Liam Scully, Marcus Orlandi, Peter Fish, Tom Hackett, Tom Witherick, LUAP, Helen Grant, Eleanor McLean, Alexis Bamforth, Richard Mackness, Prayer Room (Dinosaur Kilby, Leah Hickey and Ishmail De Niro), Claye Bowler, Joseph Ijoyemi, Lorrain Mailer, Jill Laudet, Rachel Irons, Tom Coates, Charlie Franklin, Chanel Vegas, Alegria Repila Smith, Diana Zrnic, Jeremy Wyatt, María C.
