WINTER SCULPTURE PARK 2025
The former Thamesmead golf course, SE28 8QH. Free to view. Free to roam. Roam and get lost amongst the former Thamesmead golf course along the banks of the River Thames. Closed to the public for over a decade, naturally rewilded, and home to local intrigue and exploration, the disused golf course provides the perfect backdrop. Here, the work you will see is charged with 'now. It is there with relevance and it is burdened with necessity, although not always instantly recognisable. WINTER SCULPTURE PARK requires you to consider these works as they are shown, within and set-against the world. |

We’re deeply proud of what we’ve achieved together this year; welcoming over 3,000 visitors, with many more discovering the PARK by chance; reconnecting art and everyday life on a site that had been closed to the public for over a decade. This exhibition was committed to the idea that ALL people can share in public art, not just as artists, but as viewers and participants. It’s been a delight to be on site each day, witnessing this in practice. We’re truly grateful to you all, for showing up from all across the UK, bringing friends, bringing family, making memories, sharing kind words and spreading word of the PARK far and wide. We would like to thank the artists, performers, collaborators and supporters for their belief in and dedication to public art. And to the friends we’ve made across the Thamesmead community: thank you for offering your time, knowledge and encouragement. These works took root in tough terrain, and were made for people, by people, and brought joy to both. |
