OPEN CALL:  CAMERA CREW - EVENT VOLUNTEER

Now & Then, Camera Crew: Open Call for Volunteer Event Photographers

Are you a budding creative between the ages of 18-25, living in the borough of Bexley? Do you have a passion for capturing moments and telling stories through photography? We have an exciting opportunity for you!

Introducing "Camera Crew" a unique photography workshop that invites six enthusiastic young photographers to document our upcoming event. By participating as volunteer event photographers, you'll have the chance to showcase your skills and contribute to the documentation of this special day.

What's in it for you?

In exchange for three hours of volunteering, we will provide you with a camera to use during the event, allowing you to explore the art of analog photography. Plus, you get to keep the camera as a token of our appreciation, empowering you to continue pursuing your passion for capturing moments through film. As an added bonus, we'll also provide a stylish tote bag for you to carry your camera and photography essentials.

As part of the volunteering experience, successful applicants will also have the opportunity to conduct short interviews with attendees of the event. This additional task aims to capture the stories and memories associated with the photographs, further enhancing the documentation and creating a comprehensive narrative of the day.

No prior photography experience is necessary!

We welcome photography enthusiasts at any skill level who are eager to explore the world of analog photography and document the essence of our event.

Join us as a volunteer event photographer and be part of creating a visual narrative that complements our exhibition. Help us capture the magic of the day and preserve it for years to come.

To apply, simply fill out the form below. Please include your name, age, postcode, a brief introduction about yourself, and why you're interested in being a volunteer event photographer. Applications must be submitted by [deadline date].

Northumberland Heath, Now & Then will be held on [DATE TBA]

We look forward to hearing from you and embarking on this creative journey together!
*Note: This open call is now extended to six talented photographers between the ages of 18-25. The volunteering session will be for three hours, and successful applicants will be asked to conduct short paper based surveys with event attendees.

Testimonials

During the most challenging circumstances of a generation the guys went out of their way to make sure an exhibition happened. As an artist this gave me something to focus on and work towards. Gallery no.32 offers artists a valuable platform. Their support is a constant and capable presence in a wonderfully ego free environment." – Patrick Colhoun

Thank you for providing such a unique opportunity. I love that the exhibition may also be experienced by viewers who wouldn't normally enter the gallery space. I met so many people just wandering by during install, asking questions about the work and excited to come back. It's great to have something so accessible and free to all. – Marie-Louise Jones

Challenge allows your practice to progress. I feel so lucky to have met curators like Meg and Kieran who are sourcing unusual exhibition spaces for artists. After two years with limited access to spaces Gallery No.32 are finding new ways to support artists. I had such a wonderful experience working with them and I hope to be able to continue working together in the future. – Tere Chad

I was impressed by the professionalism of the installation arrangements, publicity and catalogue. My work was seen by a group in Amsterdam, who have since offered me a residency and a place in their exhibition later this year. Some friends who live locally, raved how the show inspired and provoked discussion among their grandchildren. They visited twice. – Nicola Turner

What a pleasure it was to meet Megan and Kieran, an unstoppable force in the midst of lockdown, generous with their time and space and supportive throughout the WSP show. They have reshaped the notion of a Sculpture Park in their own name as a place for all. – Cat Robertson
